Our September presentation considers the role public art plays in a community through the eyes of three decision makers. Should public art reflect the tastes of the community, should it make a statement or should it blend in with surroundings? What medium is appropriate, what role should landscape play in the display of public art and who decides what. Those and other thought-provoking questions will be covered by our speakers: an artist, a landscape designer, city planner and horticulturist.
