Community Gardening & What to Plant in Your Fall Garden – Fall 2010

Addison, Texas, June 10, 2010 — The Addison Arbor Foundation is pleased to sponsor another of its Quarterly Educational Seminars. This event is a continuation of our educational series for the 2010 Arbor University program. The Addison Arbor Foundation hosts free, quarterly horticultural seminars corresponding with the seasonal calendar. This upcoming seminar in scheduled for Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. at the Addison Athletic Club located at 3900 Beltway Drive in Addison, Texas.

The topic for this event is Community Gardening. This seminar will cover topics such as:

  • Addison's plans for a Community Garden by September 2010.
  • How community gardening works and how to involve your family.
  • Plant selections for your Fall garden.

Our guest speaker for this event is Ms. Dotty Woodson, Ed.D., of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, an expert in Community Gardening.

Come and join us on Saturday morning, September 18th, while Ms. Woodson explains the philosophy of community gardening and shows us how easy it is to get involved in this beneficial community project. Ms. Woodson will be available to answer your questions following her presentation.
