Thanks to David and Linda Hickman for making a special trip to Addison on September 15th for our education event and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Aerial Ballet – Monarch. David created the sculpture and gave an interesting and informative talk about his evolution as an artist.
It was a beautiful day for the ribbon cutting ceremony that followed. Mayor Joe Chow, council members Paul Walden, Ivan Hughes, Lori Ward, Marlin Willesen and Guillermo Quintanilla attended as well as City Manager Wes Pierson and Deputy City Manager Cheryl Delaney.
We also want to thank UDR, Inc. for their donation to the sculpture as well as the use of the beautiful SkyVue Room at the Fiori. Thanks to Snooze Eatery who donated wonderful breakfast bites and coffee that were appreciated by all at our education event. Some extras went to the team at Addison Fire Station 2.
